The Dudley Campus

We are fortunate to have 500 acres located in the foothills of the Adirondacks on the shores of Lake Champlain in the small town of Westport, NY. We landed here in 1908 and have been thoughtfully developing it ever since. Our main campus is where most of the action takes place, with all 41 cabins situated on the shoreline. Beckman Dining Hall and Witherbee Hall, the auditorium, are two of the biggest buildings on campus, along with Sommer Hall, our gymnasium. Each of the four divisions have their own set of playing fields so that everyone has space to compete. Brodie Arts & Crafts is the heart of our studio arts program, complete with a spectacular view of the lake like no other. All of our boating activities take place out of the oldest building on campus, The Avery Boathouse which was erected in 1914. A few other campus highlights include:

  • The newest addition to our main campus is the Middlebury Outdoor Pavilion where we gather for mass vespers, shows and concerts, as well as movies under the Dudley Dome.

  • The rural Dudley Road runs through the center of campus and because of this, we have our own tunnel that leads campers from one side to the other.

  • We have 4 campsites at Cutler Point, Stacy Falls, and in the Stacy Brook Wilderness Area for overnights and suppers, as well as our outdoor Yurt Leadership Village.

  • Swim point, home to swim lanes, water polo and free swim, is the only place we swim on campus.
