Please join us in Westport for Parents’ Weekend on Saturday, August 14th, 2010, from 2 to 9 p.m.
Here’s what you can expect this year at Parents’ Weekend at Camp Dudley…
Saturday, August 14th
2 PM – Parents park at the upper fields and walk down to meet their son(s) at Witherbee Hall on the main campus
3 PM – Parents enjoy The Big Show in Witherbee Hall
4:30 PM – Parents watch their son(s) participate in divisional activities at various sites on the campus
6 PM – Picnic on the main campus
7:30 PM – Parents join campers for Hymn Sing in Witherbee Hall
9 PM – Parents depart for the evening
Sunday, August 15th
9:00 AM – Parents begin arriving at the upper fields parking lot and please walk directly to Chapel. Parents will not be permitted on the main campus at this time
10 AM – Chapel.
11 AM – 1 PM – Departure. You may have to wait as we filter cars onto and off of the main campus. We ask for your patience and good humor. There will be refreshments and lost & found available at the upper fields while you wait.
Welcome to the second session of the 126th Camp Season! Get ready for the time of your life!
FRIDAY VISITING DAY
2:00 – 2:30p.m. Recommended time for Parents to arrive. Parents park at the Upper fields and are greeted by Marnie and Lisa at the Welcome Tent. Parent proceed to walk down to Junior or Senior village where you will meet your daughter(s) & Leader(s).
2:30PM. Parents and campers gather in Villages for cheers and D-Head Welcome.
2:45p.m – Parents and campers tour campus by cabin (2-3 cabins per group) with Leadership Teams. Each group stops at the following stations, where Senior Staff will address the group:
- Senior Field Beach (Waterfront Program).
- Chapel (Spiritual Program)
- Flagpole (Camp Spirit)
- Junior Council Ring (Tripping Program & Boating)
- Gazebo (Athletics Program)
- Dance Studio (Arts Program)
- BARN. All groups head to the barn for the end of season DRILL RIDE
3:30 p.m – Parents and campers enjoy the end of session Riding Display at the barn.
4:15p.m – End of Season Musical “ARISTOCATS”. All parents to the theater. All campers to JUNIOR COUNCIL RING.
5:15 p.m. – Campers and Leaders head to Picnic. Parents gather for hors d’oeuvres with the Director and Senior Staff team in front of the Dance Studio.
6:00 p.m.- 7:30p.m Parents join campers for a Picnic dinner by the flag.
7:45 p.m. – Parents join campers for Hymn Sing in the CDK dining hall.
After Hymn Sing. – Parents depart for the evening; campers back to cabins for final Vespers.
Parents collect campers between the hours of 9am – 10:30am.
CDK welcomes this year’s first session and full campers from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
CD welcomes this year’s first session and full campers from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All Staff must be at Camp by 6 p.m. on June 19, 2010. Lots to do!
All Aides must be at Camp by 12 noon on June 21, 2010.
All AL’s and JL’s must be at Camp by 12 noon on June 20, 2010.
